The touring cast of versatile actor/musicians who will sing, act, and play instruments comprises Evan Harrington as the Baker, Anthony Chatmon II as Lucinda/Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince, Fred Rose as Mysterious Man, Darick Pead as Milky White/Florinda/Rapunzel’s Prince, Bonne Kramer as Cinderella’s Stepmother/Jack’s Mother, Laurie Veldheer as Cinderella/Granny, Vanessa Reseland as the Witch, Philippe Arroyo as Jack/Steward, Eleasha Gamble as the Baker’s Wife, and Lisa Helmi Johanson as Little Red Riding Hood/Rapunzel with Joshua Archer, Javier Ignacio, Kate Moore, Evan Rees, Alanna Saunders, and Chris Sweatt.
The acclaimed production was seen at New Jersey's McCarter Theatre Center in May 2013. It officially opened Off-Broadway January 22, 2015, following previews that began December 18, 2014, at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. It played its final performance April 12, 2015.
This touring production is also directed by Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld. In a statement Steinfeld said, “The key element in every Fiasco show is the sense of ensemble that the audience sees on stage. What you’re seeing is not a group of individuals, but an actual group—like seeing a band or a choir. We’re really listening, breathing, and thinking together.”
The tour brings together the Dodgers (current producers of Jersey Boys and Matilda) and the original Tony Award-winning producers of Into the Woods and its Broadway revival with NETworks Presentations (South Pacific, The Phantom of the Opera, War Horse).
The creative team includes Derek McLane (sets), Whitney Locher (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), Darron L. West and Charles Coes (sound), Lisa Shriver (choreographer), Matt Castle (music supervision), and Frank Galgano and Castle (orchestrations).
