Casting has been announced for Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts' Literature Live!production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.
The cast of the American tragedy comprises David Manis as Willy Loman, Carolyn Popp as Linda, Rob DiSario as Biff, Scott T. Hinson as Happy, Willy Cappuccio as Bernard/Stanley, Keith Cornelius as Ben/Howard, Chloë Dirksen as The Woman, Rachel Feldman as Jenny/Letta, Tina Jones as Miss Forsythe, and Neal Mayer Charley.
Free school group performances of the production, directed by Joe Minutillo, begin November 6. Public performances start November 9 and continue through November 25.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning Death of a Salesman is set in the late 1940s and follows failing salesman Willy Loman and his family as they face a harsh reality. Miller explores themes surrounding the uncertainty of the American Dream and the struggles that families face in the wake of a changing economy.
The production will also feature original music by Michael Holland, set, projection, and sound design by Mike Billings, lighting, projection, and sound design by Dalton Hamilton, costume design by Melanie Clifton Harvey, and props design by Andrew Diaz. The production stage manager is Denise Yaney, and Kelsy Durkin is the assistant stage manager.
Literature Live! is presented to the general public but also for school groups who attend performances for free.
